Mantis

A force-measuring arm designed for stiffness testing and material characterisation, producing F/d, d/F, F/t and d/t curves for materials and components. Actuation speed, maximum force and test duration are all programmable.

The actuation system combines a servomotor and an actuator with a 150 mm stroke and a maximum force of 1000 N; its ball joint allows the actuation angle to be varied. The whole assembly is joined with brackets and bolts, giving the machine great configuration versatility. Control is handled by an industrial PC with a tablet as the user interface.
